SIALKOT: Around 19 people were killed in roof-collapse, flood and rain-related incidents in several districts of the province on Saturday, as heavy rains and floods continued to play havoc.

In Sialkot’s Saabo Saraa village, Daska tehsil, Mafia, 12, was killed and her two minor sisters Nimra and Momina and brother Luqman were injured seriously when the roof of their room caved in during heavy rain on Saturday.

In Kaanwaan village, Arshad drowned in a seasonal nullah. In Ratta Jathol village, Pasrur tehsil, Ali Raza, 4, was killed when the roof of his house caved in .

Abu Bakar, 18, was killed when the roof of his room collapsed during rain in Mundeyki village, Beriyaan-Pasrur. In Zafarwal, Jammu Garhi village, Zeeshan drowned in Nullah Dek.

Ghulam Abbas was killed as the roof of his house collapsed during rain in Nai Abadi Majra, Sambrial tehsil. In Muhallah Loharaan-Uggoki, Tayyaba Arshad was killed when the roof of her house caved in.

In Hajipura, Daska city, Farzana Bibi was electrocuted from an electricity pole near her house during rain. In Thatha village, Laakhi-Daska, Sundas was killed when the roof of her room caved in during heavy rain.

KASUR: Five people, including four children, died in roof-collapse incidents, while eight others suffered injuries.

Two minors, Jamshed and Huzaifa, were buried under the debris when the roof of their house collapsed in Basti Qadirabad. Four-year-old Mahnoor and her aunt Rukhsana Bibi suffered serious injuries.

Ali, 7, and his 10-year-old sister Naazra of Baghiana Kalan village died when the roof of their house caved in. Their father Rafi, mother Ramzana Bibi and brother Saifullah, 13, suffered serious injuries and were taken to Pattoki THQ Hospital.

Parveen Bibi died while her son Sabir, 12, and husband Munir Ahmed sustained injuries when the wall of a courtyard fell on them in village Hinjrai Kalan.

Minor Izharul Haq sustained serious injuries when a wall collapsed and fell on him while he was playing in a street near his house in village Bhaisan Chak 47. Sardar Muhammad of Shah Inayat village was electrocuted while repairing an electric water pump in his house.

GUJRANWALA: Three people were killed while at least six injured when roofs of their houses caved in.

Zulfiqar died in Ladheywala Warraich, Nazir in Bhati Bhango village and Ashfaq in Shaheenabad when the roofs of their houses collapsed. Six members of a family were injured in Rahwali when the roof of their house caved in.
