Special security plan for cinemas

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs Syed Akhtar Ali Shah on Wednesday directed inspector general of police, divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners to make necessaryarrangements for security of cinemas across the province.

Mr Shah directed to chalk out special security plan for all cinemas, including strict monitoring of all kind of movements around cinemas through installation of CCTV cameras.

The secretary home also directed deployment of security officials around cinemas both in plainclothes and uniform, and checking of people through metal detectors before they enter cinema halls. He said cycles andhand-carts should not be allowed around cinemas, and parking area should be arranged at a distance from cinema halls.—APP
