Three commit suicide

NAWABSHAH, May 1: Three persons committed suicide in the district on Wednesday.

Kehar Ali, 45, committed suicide by hanging himself in the Sher Ali Shah village near Daur due to financial problems.

Mohammad Farooq, 27, committed suicide by hanging himself due to family problems in Gharibabad Colony, Daur.

Sardar Ali Jatt, 35, committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol due to family problems in Hussainabad Colony, Sakrand.

Growers: A group of tail-end growers of the Setharki Minor staged a sit-in opposite the press club here on Wednesday to protest against the non-supply of water to their lands.

Led by Mohammad Murad Brohi, the growers were carrying banners and raising slogans against irrigation officials.
