HYDERABAD, May 1: Hundreds of Pakistan People’s Party activists on Thursday took out a procession from Shaikh Bhirkiyo to the gate of the Faran Sugar Mills to protest against the dismissal of 426 workers of the mill.

They also staged a sit-in at the mill gate.

Talking to the protesters, Hyderabad PPP president Syed Mohsin Shah Bukhari and general-secretary Mohammad Amin Lakho termed the sacking of the workers economic murder of their families.

Expressing solidarity with the sacked workers, they pledged to continue the protest till the reinstatement of the workers.

They said the PPP would not allow mill owners to blackmail their workers.
