Petrol, diesel prices cut

KARACHI, April 30: The Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC) has slashed the ex-depot fixed sales price of petrol by 0.45 paisa per litre, while oil marketing companies (OMCs) have also curtailed the ex-depot price of diesel by Rs 1.05 per litre to Rs 20.23 from Rs 21.28 per litre.

Except for increase of 23 paisa in kerosene oil to Rs 19.25 from Rs 19.02 per litre, the OCAC has also reduced the prices of all petroleum products by 0.31 to 0.43 paisa per litre.

The price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 30.13 from Rs30.58, showing a drop of 1.47 per cent. The new price of HOBC will be Rs34.17 as compared to Rs34.60. The rate of light diesel oil (LDO) has been reduced to Rs16.38 from Rs16.69 per litre.
