KARACHI: Unesco essay contest

KARACHI, April 30: The UNESCO is holding an international essay contest for children and youth in two separate categories as part of its “International Decade for Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World”.

The theme of the competition is ‘My vision for the Future’ and children of ages up to 15 and youth of up to 25 are eligible to take part in it. Essays are required to be of up to 600 words for children, and up to 800 words for youth, typed or printed in English, Spanish, German or French.

Essay must be written by one person and submitted by mail, fax or e-mail latest by June 30 to the Goi Peace Foundation, 1-4-5 Hirakawacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 102-0093, Japan. Fax 81(3)3239-0919, and e-mail: essay@goipeace.or.jp.
