KPT outclass Sarhad Greens

BANNU, April 29: Shakir Taj struck twice to propel Karachi Port Trust (KPT) to a 4-0 victory over Sarhad Greens in the 46th national football championship at Jinnah Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Shakir pounced in the 5th minute to give his side an early lead and then found the cage three minutes before the halftime to make it 2-0.

KPT compounded Sarhad Greens’ miseries with a 50th-minute Farooq Ghulam goal, while Farid Majeed completed the scoring in the dying seconds of the game.

Wednesday’s fixtures: Balochistan Reds v PTCL; Wapda v Sui Northern Gas.
