Woman commits suicide with kids

MIRPURKHAS, April 29: A peasant woman, Marvi Kolhi, 30, committed suicide by taking pesticide at the Ghulam Rasool Talpur village, Kot Ghulam Mohammad Taluka, on Tuesday.

She also gave pesticide to her six-year-old son, Harji, and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Pooran.

Their bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital for an autopsy.

It was learnt that her husband, Umedo Kolhi, used to beat his wife and children.

DISTRICT COUNCIL: The district council, Mirpurkhas, in a meeting on Monday demanded fair distribution of funds to the Citizens Community Board in the union councils of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the members including Mohammad Umar Bughio and Pir Haji Anwar Talpur said that parity should be observed in the distribution of funds among

the Citizens Community Board in all the union councils.—Correspondent
