Nushki Baloch crowned champions

ISLAMABAD, March 11 Nushki Baloch Football Club closed the PFF league's chapter on a winning note by defeating Pakistan Air Force 1-0 at the Pakistan Sports Complex here on Wednesday.

Nushki, after the final league match triumph, have become the first club ever to win the PFF league.

In the previous events, NBP (2004), Railways (2005), PTV (2006) and PEL (2007) lifted the titles. Both the finalists have also earned place in the upcoming Pakistan Premier Football League.

Najeebullah, a 22-year-old rookie forward, had the distinction of scoring the lone goal in the 33rd minute of the match on the pass of Abdul Qudus.

Sher Zaman, Nushki's goalkeeper, foiled some strong attacks by PAF forward Mohammad Zeeshan in the second half.

PAF's striker Mohammad Zeeshan was adjudged as the Most Valuable Player and was awarded Rs25,000.

Higher Education Commission claimed the Fair Play Trophy and Rs30,000.

Irfan Khan Niazi and Shahid Ahmed Khan acted as match commissioner and referee assessor respectively.
