LAHORE, May 4 Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) emerged as champions of the Patron's Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament after the four-day final against Army ended in a draw because of rain and bad light at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Monday.

Set to score 506 for victory, Army, who were 36-0 overnight, had reached 138-3 when the match ended.KESC, who clinched the title on the basis of their massive 190-run lead on the first innings, received a cash prize of Rs100,000 while Army were honoured with the runners-up prize of Rs50,000.

Akbar-ur-Rehman, who scored 195 in KESC's first innings, was declared the Man-of-the-Match. His team-mate Asad Shafiq adjudged best batsman of the tournament for scoring 611 runs. Asif Raza of Pakistan Air Force was the best bowler with 31 wickets to his credit.

Shahzaib Hasan of Port Qasim Authority, a surprise inclusion in Pakistan's World Twenty20 squad, was declared the tournament's best fielder for taking 12 catches.

KESC skipper Javed Mansoor earned the best wicket-keeper award for effecting 21 dismissals (17 catches and four stumpings). All individual prizes were worth Rs10,000 each.
