SIALKOT, April 27: Heavy rain followed by duststorm in Sialkot and Narowal districts on Sunday spread panic among the wheat growers.
The rain started in the morning and continued till late in the evening.
Farmers of Sialkot and Narowal told newsmen that the rain and duststorm would be harmful for the standing wheat crops. “In Sialkot alone, wheat crop on 460,000 acres is still to be harvested.”
The local Met office have forecast more heavy rains in Sialkot and Narowal districts besides the catchment areas of occupied Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
EPB CHIEF: Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Chairman Tariq Ikram will visit the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on April 29.
According to a SCCI press release issued on Sunday, the EPB chairman will discuss the matters of mutual interest with Sialkot exporters and visit various industrial units in Sialkot city and it’s outskirts.

According to official sources, the Indian forces continued firing with light and heavy machine guns on Pakistani border villages in Sialkot
working boundary’s Chhumb, Joriyan, Bajwat, Chaprar, Jammu, Saamba, Akhnoor and Zafarwal-Shakargarh-Narowal sectors.
No causality or injury has been reported.
