Sindh boxing squad named

KARACHI, Nov 2 An eight-member Sindh boxing squad has been named for the sixth All Pakistan National Bank Boxing Championship being held in Peshawar from Nov 6.

Sindh boxing trials were held at Kakri ground under the supervision of ex-Asian champion boxer Ghani Durwesh.

Javed Jan has been appointed as chief coach of the squad while Saeed Ahmed will be his assistant. Yar Mohammad Qambrani will accompany the squad as its manager.

Jahanzaib (49kg), Salahuddin (52kg), Hussain Shah (56kg), Jamil Ahmed (60kg), Tanveer Ahmed (64kg), Sher Ali (69kg), Javed Akhtar (captain) (75kg), Faizan Kachi (81kg).—Agencies
