CPNE lauds govt help

KARACHI, April 26: The CPNE has thanked Federal Information Secretary Anwer Mahmood for providing assistance to ailing Fateh Islam newspaper’s Managing Editor Ghulam Muhammed Memon of Hyderabad and providing him with an ad hoc grant of Rs100,000.

The CPNE president and general secretary, Mr Mujibur Rahman Shami and Mr Mahmudul Aziz, hoped that the Sindh government would move immediately to provide for treatment at government expense to the ailing editor, who is a patient of terminal cancer, as promised by Chief Minister Ali Mohammed Maher.
