Army Reds beat Iesco

RAWALPINDI, April 25: Army Reds knocked out Iesco 2-1 on Friday on the opening day of the 2nd All-Pakistan Anti Narcotics Force hockey.

With a goal from Arshad via a 17th minute short corner, Army led 1-0 at the breather. They enhanced their lead when Hasan Arifi scored a field goal at the start of the second half.

Iesco then quickly pulled one back through a penalty corner converted by Irfan but their attempts to get the equaliser were thwarted.

The tournament has drawn as many as 24 teams from across the country and is being played on a knock-out basis.
