ISLAMABAD, April 25: PTCL Headquarters scored a convincing 117-run victory over Karachi STR III on Friday to advance to the final of the PTCL Inter-Zonal Cricket Championship a the KRL Ground.

The Headquarters side, who won the toss and chose to bat first, piled up 285 for seven off their 40 overs. Amir Khan was the chief scorer with 75 while Asher Zaidi contributed a useful 49. Muhammad Shafiq was the pick of the bowlers and took four wickets.

In reply, STR were dismissed for 168 runs in the 33rd over. Bilal Ahmed scored 62 runs.
