BAHAWALPUR, April 25: The Ahmadpur East revenue department on Thursday ordered inquiry into alleged theft in the sealed Sadiqgarh palace and torching the railway saloon of the late Bahawalpur amir.

Those having knowledge about it or the members of the family have been asked to record their evidence with the department’s assistant district officer. No date for recording of the evidence has been mentioned in the official announcement.

A fire broke out at the late Nawab Sadiq’s railway saloon about two months ago while frequent thefts of precious articles, including arms, was reported some time back. The saloon was stationed at the railway garrage at Dera Nawab Sahib railway station.

RESULT: The Islamia Univer-sity on Thursday announced the results of LLB (part I) supplementary examination, 2002.

As many as 54 candidates, out of the 80, have been declared successful at a percentage of 67.50.

MURDERED: A woman on Friday was murdered allegedly by his brother at Chak 32-DNB near Dera Nawab Sahib.

Hafiz Muhammad Akbar, the administrator of madressah, took her sister ‘S’ outside the village on the pretext of recording her statement before police and murdered her. The deceased was said to be involved in a rape case.
