KARACHI, April 24: Three ships carrying containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was moderately active where four ships, Hyundai Sprinter, CMC Pearl to unload and load containers, Eijin to offload vehicles and Vela Squez also to offload containers were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships which departed included Hyundai Sprinter, Marine Trade and Vela Squez, while Zadar, CMC Pearl, New Resolution and Al-Manakh are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side as the total tonnage soared to 0.107m tons comprising 34,747 tons of export cargo including 5,079 tons of rice and 71,995 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Oriental Lily, to load ethanol, Wan Hai-305 and Kota Teraju, with containers.
