Two killed in firing

NOWSHERA, April 23: A man and his young nephew were shot dead and a woman was injured in an exchange of fire over a domestic dispute in Wattar village on Tuesday. Police claimed to have recovered weapons used in the incident and registered a double murder case.

Investigations are under way.

The victims were identified as Daulat Khan and his nephew and son-in-law Sher Nawaz.

Mirsheeda, wife of Sher Nawaz, told Nowshera Kalan police that she was at her father’s house when Sher Nawaz with his mother arrived there. She said there was an exchange of angry words over the division of household items before Sher Nawaz and her father opened fire on each other with Kalashnikovs, killing each other. She said a woman was injured in the firing.

BOY KILLED: Fanoos Khan, 14, was killed and three members of his family were injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Zando Banda locality on Monday night.

The injured were identified as Fanoos’ father Salim Khan, his mother and a brother.
