Maqbool opens Data Sahib’s Urs

LAHORE, April 21: The three-day annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Hajveri began on Monday night after the chaddar laying ceremony at the shrine by Governor Khalid Maqbool.

The governor also inaugurated a milk sabeel outside the shrine afterwards.

A mehfil-i-na’at started at the Darbar Mosque after the inauguration of the Urs. A mehfil-i-samaa will start on Tuesday morning and continue for two days.

The Urs ceremonies will conclude with the collective prayers after midnight on Thursday.
