Wapda in trouble

Published October 11, 2001

KARACHI, Oct 10: Wapda’s wretched run in the Patron’s Trophy Grade-I National Championship continued Wednesday when they conceded 57-run first innings lead to Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP) at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad Wednesday, according to details available here.

Replying to ADBP’s 244, Wapda were able to muster 187 and that too because of some defiant batting from tailenders Kashif Raza (40) and Sarfraz Ahmed (46) who lifted the side from seven for 97.

ADBP consolidated their grip on the match when they reached 42 for one in their second innings for an overall lead of 99.
