HYDERABAD, April 18: A civil judge released two illegal detainees from the Baldia police station here on Friday.

Mohammad Bux had filed a criminal miscellaneous application before the sessions judge, Hyderabad, Parkash Lal M. Ambwani, who is also the director, Human Rights Board, praying for the release of his two relatives, Abdul Qadir and Nazeer Ahmed.

The applicant stated that the Baldia police had arrested them but did not produce them before any court for seeking their remand and they were not being released.

The sessions judge appointed fourth extra joint civil judge Shahid Ali Memon the inquiry officer to conduct a raid at the police station and ascertain facts. The judge raided the police station where he found both the detainees. No entry was found regarding their arrest or detention.

They were released accordingly.—Correspondent
