DADU, Dec 6: Six linemen and one clerk were suspended, one lineman was terminated and show cause notices were issued against fourteen metre readers of Hesco Dadu operation division on Wednesday.

The executive engineer of Hesco Dadu took this action on charges of changing readings of metres of consumers and the employees’ involvement in illegal connections to factories.

A Hesco Dadu team led by executive engineer Ghulam Hussain Sammon on Wednesday raided several houses, shops and factories in Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Johi, Bhan Saeedabad, Khudabad, Sehwan, and Dadu towns and detected more than two hundred illegal connections and cases of changes in metre readings.

The illegal connections were disconnected.

Mr Sammon issued the suspension orders of linemen, Abdul Rehman Chandio, Ghulam Sarwar Sand, Ghulam Abbas, Moula Bux, Ghulam

Shabbir Mirbahar, Mukhtiar Chandio of Dadu sub-division, Mohammad Ibrahim Mallah, clerk, Wapda revenue office Dadu and terminated the service of Qurban Ali Gopang, lineman Dadu.
