LAHORE, April 15: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday accepted a petition against inclusion of the name of Asif Zardari’s friend Baqar Ali Naqvi in Exit Control List, and allowed him to go abroad.

Deputy Attorney General Yawar Ali stated in court that the petitioner’s name had been deleted from the ECL, and he was not wanted by the government.

The petition filed through Tafazal Rizvi submitted that the accused was neither involved in any case nor was wanted, but his name was placed on the ECL because of his friendship with Mr Zardari.—APP
