One killed in Indian shelling

MUZAFFARABAD, April 15: A man was killed and another injured in a southern AJK village along the Line of Control in Indian shelling, officials said on Tuesday.

The shelling began in Samahni sector in the Bhimbher district on Monday evening, during which Indian troops used light and heavy weapons and targeted civilian population, a district administration official told Dawn from Bhimbher by telephone.

The shelling continued throughout the night intermittently, he said. He said Mohammad Israel, son of Fateh Khan, was killed and Mohammad Khalil, son of Mohammad Sain, wounded in Dhal Khambah village as a result of the shelling.
