KARACHI, April 15: Nazim Naimatullah Khan has said that hospitals of the city government offer all the three methods of treatment: allopathy, tibbe unani and homeopathy to the public.

He was speaking at the 248th birth anniversary function of the founder of homeopathy, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, at a local hotel on Tuesday.

The Nazim said there exists a difference of opinion as regards methods of treatment in all the three branches, but the fact is that homeopathy is an effective method of treatment.

He observed that billions of rupees are spent on marketing and advertizing of allopathic medicines, whereas homeopathy has totally been ignored.

He assured that city district government would make efforts to promote homoeopathy.

Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui said homeopathy is increasingly becoming popular in Pakistan.

He disclosed that there are 70,000 practitioners of homeopathy in Pakistan and 40 colleges are working for the promotion and dissemination of homeopathy in the country.

Col. Ashfaq, Mansoor Yousuf, Dr. Arshad Nazir Kashif and Dr. Ros Masood also spoke.
