SSPE win PUTD athletics

LAHORE, April 14: Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Education (SSPE) with 95 points won the Punjab University Teaching Departments boys annual athletics championship at the New Campus track on Monday.

Institute of Chemical Technology was runners-up with 26 points while Institute of Geology secured third position with 16 points.

Mohammad Munawar of the winning department with 25 points was declared the best athlete of the championship.

100m: Khalid Aizaz (SSPE), 12.74 sec; Sanaullah, Asad Butt.

200m: Sanaullah (SSPE); Khalid Aizaz, Khamas Butt.

400m: Mohammad Munawar (SSPE) 54.83 sec; Khalid Aizaz; Khalil Ahmad.

800m race: Mohammad Munawar (SSPE) two min 21 sec; Mohammad Ali; Hafiz Irfan.

1500m: Mohammad Munawar (SSPE) five m 1.98 sec; Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Aslam.

3000m; Mohammad Munawar (SSPE) 11m 7.73 sec New Record; Mohammad Ali; Rashad Munir.

5000m: Mohammad Munawar (SSPE) 20 m 14.41 sec; Mohammad Ali; Rashad Munir.

110m hurdles: Asad Butt (Chemical Tech) 19.23 sec; Mohammad Shakeel; Mohammad Tariq.

400m: Mohammad Aslam (Chemical) one m 5.07 sec; Mohammad Shakeel; Khalil Anjum.

4x100m relay: SSPE 47.2 sec New Record; Chemical; Geology.

Long jump: Rana Imran (SSPE) 5.69 m; Wasif Naseer; Amjad Ali.
