MANSEHRA, Oct 2: The Mansehra police launched a big operation on Sunday against outlaws and anti-social elements who were involved in looting, killing and car snatching cases.

According to police sources, there are around 137 proclaimed offenders in the district, some of whom are hiding in the Lassain Nawab and Pulra police stations areas. These outlaws are involved in heinous crimes and have made kutcha houses on the hilltops of village Donnah, about 40km from here, as their hideout.

These outlaws have recently hijacked many vehicles in Tanaval area at gunpoint, kidnapped people for ransom and killed many on enmity.

In view of the growing incidents of lawlessness, SSP Mansehra, Inam Ghani, along with a police party raided the hideout of outlaws. However, after an encounter the outlaws managed to escape.
