ISLAMABAD, April 14: Pakistan People’s Party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto has condoled the death of renowned journalist Adbullah Malik.

In her condolence letter addressed to his son, Dr Kausar Abdullah, Ms Bhutto wrote: “Senator Asif Ali Zardari and I are deeply grieved to hear about the sad demise of your father, Abdullah Malik.”

She wrote: “Your illustrious father was an outstanding journalist of the subcontinent.

“His writing in the press at the time of the partition were a great motivating factor for the masses. His contributions to the Pakistan movement and to the socialist cause in Pakistan will be long remembered. He struggled relentlessly for the restoration of true democracy in Pakistan,” she said.—Reporter
