KARACHI, Sept 14 The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors will send a delegation to Mr Majeed Nizami, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation, to try to resolve the issues that had resulted in removal of Arif Nizami from the media organisation.

The CPNE at an emergency meeting held with its vice-president Zahid Malik in the chair also decided that the delegation would apprise Mr Majeed Nizami of its concern over the removal of Mr Arif Nizami who was associated with the organisation for 39 years.

According to a press release, a majority of CPNE members offered senior positions to Mr Arif Nizami in their organisations.

They also said that they would cooperate with him if he decided to launch his own newspaper.
