FAISALABAD, Dec 5: The District Cricket Association Faisalabad (DCAF) has demanded the chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board, Lt. Gen. Tauqeer Zia to order elections of DCAF to save it from total collapse.

In a statement here on Tuesday, Senior Vice President, Muhammad Rafique; Vice President, Mazhar Ali; Joint Secretary, Haji Manzoorul Haq; and Secretary Finance, Mian Irshad Ahmed alleged that DCAF funds were being misappropriated by the secretary.

They also alleged criminal negligence of the DCAF secretary and other responsible functionaries can be judged from the fact that for the first time under-19 cricket team failed to perform well in the tournament. Overage players were being selected in the team after the fake names which also resulted in bad performances of the team, they added.

They demanded the high ups to take cognizance of the situation in the larger interest of cricket association and players of the district.
