MINGORA, April 13: Swat District Nazim Dr Mehboobur Rehman has asked the heads of all government departments to expedite work on the ongoing schemes and ensure their completion by June.

According to an official statement issued here on Sunday, the nazim visited the sites of grid stations at Chalyar, Madyan and asked the authorities to expedite the pace of work on the schemes. He also ordered the officers of the health department to complete work on the Khwazakhela hospital.

Mr Rehman also visited the telephone exchange in Tiligram village and expressed his satisfaction over the ongoing work.

He also asked the Sui gas and Pakistan Telecommunications Company authorities to ensure the provision of these facilities to all the targeted areas in the district.

AWARDS: The Pakistan Youth Organization (PYO), Adenzai chapter, Dir, has decided to present awards to persons on their services and achievements in education, health, journalism, poetry, social work and other fields.

PYO Adenzai chapter president Shah Hussein Shah told newsmen here on Sunday that the activity was meant to acknowledge the services and achievements of the persons of different walks of life.

The awards presentation function will be held on April 20 in Chakdarra in Lower Dir district. Senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan will be chief guest on this occasion.—Our Correspondent
