DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 12: The Lahore High Court’s Multan bench on Saturday stayed the order of the Dera Ghazi Khan Deputy district education officer.

Justice Nazir Ahmed Siddiqui also sought reply from the district Nazim, DCO, PSO to district Nazim, EDO (Education) and district account officer on April 17.

DDEO Mian Muhammad Qasim stated in his petition that District Nazim Alhaj Muhammad Jamal Khan Leghari issued him a show-cause notice after cancelling his transfer orders which was a violation of rules and regulation as he was a competent officer. He pleaded that the cancellation of his transfer was politically-motivated.

The judge ordered for status-quo and issued notice for April 17 to District Nazim, DCO, EDO (education ), PSO to District Nazim and DAO.

The judge further said that if instant injunctive order was not extended further, the same shall be no longer operative.
