ISLAMABAD, April 12: Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) handed over its kidney centre to Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in a simple ceremony here on Saturday.

The agreement was signed by the secretaries of two bodies, says a Press release. Federal Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Mian Abdul Sattar Laleka was present there.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Laleka said he was confident that the kidney centre would be utilized to its maximum capacity and run according to international standard by the new management. He also hoped that the general public workers would be beneficiary of the kidney centre. The minister said due to new management the benefits of the kidney centre would reach to common man.

He said the funds accumulated by the Fund from this deal would be used for establishing such new centres at far-flung areas for the workers betterment.
