LAHORE, April 11: Justice Ghulam Mujaddid Mirza (retired) has been appointed chairman of the Al-Mizan Foundation which deals with the matters concerning welfare of the serving and retired judges and their dependents.

Retired justices Abdul Qadir Shaikh, Mian Mahboob Ahmad, Abdul Hafeez Cheema, Mir Hazar Khan Khoso and Mohammed Ishaq Khan have been appointed its members.

With these appointments, the committee of administration of the Al-Mizan Foundation stands reconstituted.

The Foundation has its office in Islamabad, but it can also set up its offices in other cities.

The major objective of the foundation is to ensure the welfare of the people who have served or are serving the superior or subordinate judiciary in all provinces and their dependents, and to establish, run and set up organizations, institutions and projects for the purpose.
