LAHORE, April 11: Pak Jamhoor, a new political party, has demanded that the LFO should be quashed, the 1973 Constitution be restored and the president should be elected in accordance with the constitution.
Party spokesman Safdar Hassan Siddiqi said in a statement on Friday the MMA and PML-Q were negotiating on the LFO and the appointment of the president in such a manner which gave the impression that the talks might result in an undesirable compromise against the interests of the people and democracy.
He said people of Pakistan had the apprehension that both the sides had been working for their vested interests and the country’s future was not in safe hands.
The Pak Jamhoor was opposed to the ongoing parleys, and appealed to the people to stay away from any compromise formula harmful for the nation.
