Smugglers block Quetta-Chaman highway

CHAMAN Smugglers on Thursday blocked the Quetta-Chaman Highway for all kinds of traffic to protest the seizure of their trucks loaded with wheat flour and destined to be smuggled to Afghanistan via Chaman.

 

These trucks along with flour were seized by the Frontier Corps during routine patrol. A large number of transport, passenger and goods vehicles remained stranded in various areas.

 

District administration had taken no steps to restore traffic on the highway.
