CPNE to send team to Iraq

KARACHI, April 11: The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has decided to send a delegation of its member-editors to Iraq as an expression of solidarity with the Iraqi people and to study the situation on the ground and inform the Pakistani newspaper readers about the situation obtaining in Iraq now.

The Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors delegation will make efforts to reach Iraq at the earliest and the required facilities for travel to Iraq of the CPNE delegation are being sought from the authorities concerned through the Government of Pakistan, said CPNE General Secretary Mahmudul Aziz in an announcement here.
