HYDERABAD, April 10: The Sindh Agriculture University Teachers Association on Wednesday threatened to observe a strike if the authorities concerned did not take action against students who had attacked teachers of the Z.A. Bhutto Agriculture College, Dokri.

Expressing concern over the attack on the teachers, a meeting of the executive council of the association called for lodging an FIR against the students.

The meeting criticized the Dokri police for refusing to lodge an FIR.

Prof Ali Nawaz Leghari presided over the meeting.

Meanwhile, Sindh Agriculture University syndicate member Dr Rajab Ali Memon has asked the vice-chancellor to place the matter of repairs of the vice-chancellor house before the syndicate.

In a letter, addressed to the vice-chancellor, a copy of which was obtained by Dawn, Dr Memon said Rs1 million had been spent on the repair work of the house against the estimated cost of Rs0.25 million.
