QUETTA, April 9: Balochistan National Party (BNP-Awami) Patron-In-Chief Senator Moheem Khan Baloch has stressed the need to redefine the distribution formula of resources under the National Finance Commission (NFC) award.

Speaking at a press conference here, he regretted that existing formula of the award could not redress grievances and problems faced by the people of Balochistan.

Moheem Baloch claimed that the government had failed to provide the funds allocated in the NFC award for Balochistan, which caused numerous problems for the province, and added that deduction of share in the award would enhance difficulties for the Balochistan government.

He demanded that the province should be granted the NFC award on area basis, instead of population, which he said was required to uplift the province.

He alleged that the Balochistan’s quota in the federal services was not honoured by the successive governments, due to which the unemployment ratio among educated youths was on the rise in the province.
