KARACHI Two strikes by Shakir Lashari and Nasarullah gave PIA an emphatic 5-0 victory over Habib Bank (HBL) in the Pakistan Premier Football League at Shadab ground on Friday.

The one-sided match started with Shakir opening the account for the airlines in the seventh minute. The winners were 2-0 up six minutes later when Nasar came into action.

The hapless bankers trailed 3-0 as Imran Khan Hashmi slammed home in the 29th minute before going for the lemon time.

Both Nasar and Shakir completed their double after the break. It was Nasar who first slotted home in the 52nd minute before Shakir sealed the fate of the match with a 71st-minute strike.

PIA will face KESC on Monday in their next match at the same venue.
