KARACHI, April 6: Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has said that the government is laying special emphasis on the continuation of policies to ensure effective promotion of investment which will consequently lead to progress and prosperity.

He stated this while talking to the consuls generals of the US, the UK, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Russia, Indonesia and UAE, who called on him at the governor’s house on Sunday here in Karachi.

Principle secretary to governor, Akhtar Zamin, and advisors Abdul Wahab Sheikh and Saeed Mazhar Ali were also present on the occasion.

The governor discussed a host of issues with them in detail. He informed them, that under a multi-pronged strategy measures are under way to upgrade the living standard of the common people.

“Moreover, proper infrastructure is also being made available in the province for reaping the advantages from foreign investment, and for enhancing industrial and economic activities,” he said.

ROKRI: Punjab minister Gul Hameed Rokri called on the governor here on Sunday at the governor’s house and discussed matters of common interest with the governor.—APP
