KARACHI, April 4: Over one hundred thousand acres of land will soon be distributed among landless peasants (haris) in Sindh so as to help them earn livelihood and meet the nutritive requirements of the country.

This was stated by Chief Minister Ali Mohammed Mahar, while talking to Punjab Revenue Minister Gul Hameed Rokri at the Chief Minister’s House on Friday.

He apprised the Punjab minister of various measures taken by the Sindh government, including regularization of 706 ad hoc doctors, and added that some 729 employees of Sasso would be given golden hand-shakes.

Mr Mahar added that all MPAs had been asked to submit their development schemes worth Rs5 million each to gear up the pace of development work and help solve the problems of their electorates.

He said all coalition partners in the government were working keenly and harmoniously for the progress of the province.
