KARACHI, April 4: MNA Maulana Azam Tariq warned here on Friday the coalition forces against committing brutalities on the Iraqi people, otherwise Ulema would be compelled to issue Fatwa for suicide attacks against the coalition forces.

He was speaking at a protest rally at Nagan Chowrangi to express solidarity with the Iraqi people and to condemn the American-led invasion of Iraq.

A large number of people attended the rally after Friday prayers, shouted slogans against the US and its allies and vowed to fight against the hegemonic designs of the US.

Other central leaders of the banned SSP, Khalifa Abdul Qayyum, Mufti Mohammed Ibrahim, Maulana Mahmood Ghaznavi and Saeed Jadoon also spoke.

Maulana Azam Tariq asked the people to boycott US and Zionist goods and demanded of the government to announce a public holiday to express solidarity with the Iraqi people and chalk out programmes to create awareness of American hegemonic designs.

He said Pakistanis should send relief goods to Iraq.

He appealed to the opposition parties to postpone their protest against the Legal Framework Order.

He said the Iraqi people were not alone at this time of their trial as sympathies and prayers of all peace-loving people of the world were with them.

He said Pakistan should improve relations with other Muslim countries, including Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Libya, to confront the hegemonic designs of the US. — PPI
