ISLAMABAD, April 3: The central leader of Pakistan People’s Party and Member of Punjab Bar Association, Habibullah Shakir, has called upon the people to observe April 4, the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, as black day.

In a statement on Thursday, he said the foreign policies and principles devised by the great leader of Asia could pull the country out of present crisis.

Paying glowing tributes to late Bhutto, the PPP leader said the implementation of ideology of late PPP founder chairman had become indispensible for the salvage of the poor. It is impossible now to exclude the name of late Bhutto from the political history of Pakistan, he added.

Habibullah Shakir stressed the need for giving strength to national solidarity in the backdrop of present international scenario. He said in this critical juncture of the history, all the political leaders, especial Ms Benazir Bhutto, should be consulted to make policies on national and international issues.

Parliament and the other democratic institutions should work according to the ‘73 Constitution, he said adding the 1973 Constitution could be amended according to the Article 238/239 only. He deplored the amendments made by a single person which, what he said, had lead to distortion of the Constitution.
