Dist govt okays uplift projects

SHIKARPUR, April 3: The district government has approved 16 development schemes for Khanpur, Lakhi, Garhi Yasin and Shikarpur, allocating Rs14.71 million under the forth phase of the Khushhal Pakistan Programme, DCO and project director Gul Hassan Channa said on Thursday.

He said this while presiding over a meeting of the District Development Committee.

Schemes include construction of drains in villages, including Wazirabad, Rustam, Qubo Jami, Ibanudho Ruk and Nabi Ahmed, village electrification in Nazir Ahmed Pahore, Shah Mohammad Mirbahar, Shahzado Shar, construction of additional class rooms at Chak Town, construction of Wazirabad-Khan Mohammad Shaikh village, extending Sukkur-Larkana road to the Qalandar Bakhsh Brohi village and tree plantation in the district.
