Another psychiatry ward in Nishtar

MULTAN, Oct 10: Concerted efforts will be made for setting up another psychiatry ward in the Nishtar hospital.

This was stated by Nishtar Hospital chief executive Brig Saeed Akhtar (retired) here on Wednesday while speaking at a ceremony organized in connection with the World Mental Health Day.

He said it had become imperative to educate people about mental health keeping in view the increasing depression among people.

He urged the doctors to give appropriate attention to the psychiatric patients so that they could play an effective role in society.

He said the day would be observed next year with better preparation.
