KARACHI: 12 vehicles hijacked

KARACHI, Dec 3: Twelve vehicles — six cars and an equal number of motorcycles were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Monday, the police said.

The cars were hijacked in Baghdadi, Landhi, Baloch Colony, Shamim Shaheed, Shahrah-i-Noor Jehan, and Arambagh.

Three motorcycles were hijacked/stolen in Sir Syed Town, Joharabad, Manghopir, Arambagh, Korangi Industrial Area, and Buffer Zone.

The police also claimed on Monday to have recovered six vehicles in the city.

ARRESTED: The CIA police arrested 21 suspects in raids on three gambling dens in the city on Monday.

The CIA arrested eight suspect in a raid on a gambling den in Garden. Two other dens were also raided, where 13 suspected and Rs25,400 recovered from their possession. A spokesman for the CIA police said that, under the directives of the SSP CIA, a campaign had been launched against gambling dens in the city.
