Road demanded

DADU, April 1: A large number of social workers and residents of kutcho area staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday, calling for early completion of a road from Flood Protective Bud to Chhinni village.

Talking to newsmen, Mohammad Amin Jamali said the road was sanctioned in 2000. Tenders were invited in January 2003 but the engineer who had conducted the survey was transferred on the date of opening of the tenders, they added. They appealed to the chief minister and the Sindh minister for communication to ensure early completion of the project.
