NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 31: A large number of growers from the area irrigated by the Cheho Minor staged a two-hour-long sit- in to protest against water shortage in the distributary .

Protesters, who were led by Naushahro Feroze taluka Naib Nazim Shafique Mina Rajpar, complained that their crops were being destroyed for want of irrigation water supply.

Criticizing the irrigation officials, they called for judicious distribution of water.

KILLED: A 25-year-old man, Allah Dino Dahri, was shot dead by one of his relatives, Arbab Dahri, late Sunday night in the Ahmed Khan Dahri village in the jurisdiction of Bhirya police station.

The police attributed the incident on a family dispute.—Correspondent
