HYDERABAD, March 31: The president, Sindh Hari Tehrik, Azhar Jatoi, has said that rampant lawlessness in the country had proved beyond any doubt that the government was inefficient, incompetent and ineffective and it was simply incapable of delivering the goods.

He was presiding over a meeting of the central committee of his party on Sunday.

He said that the Jagirdari system was the root cause of all evils in Sindh and unless it was abolished, Sindh would remain in the grip of lawlessness.

He said without unity among the people of Sindh they will not be able to protect their inherent rights.

The meeting called upon the world community and the UN to stop aggression against the innocent people of Iraq.

It demanded that the construction of the greater Thal canal should be stopped and Sindh should be supplied water in accordance with the 1945 water agreement.
